Let's play pretend!

let's pretend that pillows picnicking in the back yard is a normal thing, ok?

backyard pillow picnic

why are my pillows picnining in the backyard with new pillowcases on you ask?

pillowcase picnic

because the lighting is better outside, of course  :)

pillowcase threesome

of all the silly things I've done to get decent lighting in photos, this feels like the silliest.

what about you?  what odd or silly things have you done for blog photos?

pillowcase stack

these three pillowcases, plus one other I made awhile ago, make four {aren't I good at math?}  to be donated to charity.  Now I just need to find a place to donate them to :)

I tend to stay indoors to take photos. I use the light coming through the window on a nice day then edit the photos later if they look too bright. I have taken them on the floor of my hallway too....

By now the neighbours must think I'm a bit eccentric seeing me take photographs in many strange ways... My family think it's fun, luckily! Beautiful pillow slips (and photos!).

Oh they are gorgeous! Winter here in the southern hemisphere and I still take my photos outside, we are so lucky.

I take my quilts outside and hang them on my fence with clips. I get really funny looks from my neighbors, people driving by, and even my three dogs look at me like I am crazy! My hubby is supposed to make me clothes line that is further off the ground for bigger quilt pictures.

I need to do a pillow case! Not sure I'd get such nice pictures, though :-)

Beautiful pillow covers. gorgeous fabric combinations.
I'm with you on the photos difficulties, I really struggled when the evenings starting drawing in last Autumn, I even took photos of a Christmas ornament out in the garden at about 7am in my PJ's, I'm sure the neighbours already know I'm quite mad.
