Fugly Fabric Party!

***Edited to say this giveaway is now CLOSED***
***A winner will be posted later today***
Thank-you to everyone who entered!

Hello everyone! If you are visiting for the fugly fabric party, welcome!  If you are one of my regular followers, I hope you find ugly fabric as much fun as I do! :)

This is going to be brief, because I'm having trouble with my spacebar.  {If all my words start running together, you'll know I've lost the battle}

Ok, this group of fabrics has made an appearance on my blog already here.
{although, I do want to say that my biggest problem with these fabrics is that they don't play nice with each other.  While I adore the idea of a fugly fabric party, I don't want to offend anyone.  All in fun, right everyone?}

The fabrics are, from bottom left to top right, :
Sherbert by The Buggy Barn for Henry Glass & Co, 1 yard
Flirtatious by Sandy Gervais for Moda, 1/2 yard
All you Need is Love by DebStrain forModa, 1yard
more of the first, 11inches orso
All you need is love by Deb Strain for Moda,2/3 yard
Big Dot by Sandy Gervais forModa, 1 yard
{Something} by Deb Strain for Moda, 17inches

So,ifyou'd like these fabrics leave a comment saying so. I'll be happy tomailthem to you. Justin case there is actually more than one person who wants the fabric, I need a way to choose.  So, leave a good {G rated} joke in your comment, and I'll let my boys pick the funniest one. (they really need to learn a new joke. I'd count it a personal favor)  please make sure you leave your e-mail in your comment if you are a no reply blogger.  I'll close this giveaway after my morning coffee on february 14th.  :)

And do check out the rest of the party :)

Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! My favorite is the Big Dot fabric, but I also like the All You Need is Love fabric.

As for jokes..."What did the Buddhist monk say to the hot dog vendor? 'Make me one with everything.'"

Here's a funny essay, which I always enjoy (it would have made a great college application essay!): http://www.newyorker.com/humor/2011/02/28/110228sh_shouts_martin

How lovely of you!

Three guys, stranded on a desert island, find a magic lantern containing a genie. The genie grants them each one wish. The first guy wishes he was off the island and back home -- and poof!, he is back home. The second guy wishes the same thing -- and poof!, he is gone too. The third guy says, "I'm lonely. I wish my friends were back here."

Love brown and pink.
Precious Angels
I only know the names of 2 angels, Hark and Harold.
My guardian angel helps me with math, but he's not much good for science.
angels don't eat, but they drink milk from Holy cows.
All angels are girls because they gotta wear dresses and boys didn't go for it.
What I don't get about angels is why, when someone is in love, they shoot arrows at them.
Happy Valentines.

Hmmm... I'll go with a joke I remember liking when I was little--

Ooh, I could find a good home for most anything in that bundle, especially the brown and pink paisley All you Need is Love.

What does the mother skunk say to her little ones before tucking them into bed?

Oh dear, are you in the corny joke stage too? My kids went through that...and of course they have to tell them to everyone they meet, so I get to hear them multiple times. Sigh.

I'd love the piece, All you Need is Love. I'm trying to think of a good Joke. Here are a couple...

What do you call a cow with two legs? Lean Beef
What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground Beef

And lastly,
What did the pony say when he coughed?
Excuse me, I'm just a little hoarse. =)

Ok I like the little fowers they look pink and the little dots. So, my grandson and I are pushing a cart by the deli in a Walmart and all of a sudden a cooked grilled whole chicken comes flying through the air amd lands in front of our cart. My grandson is six and says to me knock, knock (I am half listening because all these deli workers come out) I said whose there he says chicken, I say chicken who? He says Chicken on the floor at Walmart. It happened last year and is still his favorite joke. Makes me laugh til I cry because we lived it. What a day that was they gave us cookies to go away. After almost hiting us with a cooked chicken. Hope the boys like the tell.

Those are very workable fabrics and would make great projects (when not altogether!). My sister gave my daughter a joke book for Christmas so she could learn some new ones. Here's one my daughter made up:
Why did the piece of wood lay around all day?
Because he was "board!"

She's 7 and was so proud of herself!

Love your fabrics! They would make a great baby girl quilt. My great nephew is 4 1/2. Our jokes are a little different because he uses mostly sign language. He loves to point to a spot on someone's shirt. When they look down at it he slowly pokes their nose. That's pretty funny in our house.

Hilachas said...

I like your ugly fabrics and thank you for the opportunity to win.

My joke for your boys:
A mother gives her son an apple as a snack. He enjoys it and asks for another. Mom says, "You already had one. Do you think apples grow on trees?"
I know, pretty lame, huh?

You'll have to share your joke with us now. It was fun to read some of the jokes in the comments. I'll have to show my boys when they get home from school.
This is the latest one going around here...

I love that brown and pink..My daughter's memory album is in that pattern.

Joke: After tucking their three-year-old child Sammy in for bed one night, his parents heard sobbing coming from his room.

Rushing back in, they found him crying hysterically. He managed to tell them that he had swallowed a penny and he was sure he was going to die. No amount of talking was helping.

His father, in an attempt to calm him down, palmed a penny from his pocket and pretended to pull it from Sammy's ear. Sammy was delighted.

In a flash, he snatched it from his father's hand, swallowed, and then cheerfully demanded, "Do it again, Dad!"

I'm always drawn to pink and brown but never buy it - so this would be great! Please put my name in the hat for the drawing.

Collecting jokes is such a good idea! My husband shared this one with me for your boys:

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: "Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you see." Watson replied: "I see millions and millions of stars." Holmes said: "And what do you deduce from that?" Watson replied: "Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it’s quite likely there are some planets like Earth out there. And if there are a few planets like Earth out there, there might also be life." And Holmes said: "Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody stole our tent."

I clicked to follow you blog (we have the same profile picture!)

For my joke I thought I would share a couple of Aussie jokes as something different for you.

What do you call a Boomerang that won't come back? A Stick

Why do mummy Kangaroo's hate bad weather? Because the kids have to play inside (Baby kangaroo's live in a pouch on their mummy's tummy in case that didn't translate).

Hope your boys like the jokes
